- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1 1/2 c. warm water (105~ to 115~)
- 1 c. unseasoned lukewarm mashed potatoes
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 2/3 c. shortening
- 2 eggs (I use 4 eggs)
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 6 to 7 c. all-purpose flour (I use Better for Bread flour)
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water in large bowl.

2Stir in potatoes, sugar, shortening, eggs, salt and 3 cups of the flour.

3Beat until smooth.

4Stir in enough remaining flour to make dough easy to handle.
