Ingredients
- 3/4 c. shortening
- 2 1/2 c. water
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 yeast cakes
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 7 c. sifted flour
Directions

1Put shortening into a cup of boiling water. When melted, add 1 cup cold water. Beat eggs well and add them to the water and shortening.

2Add also the sugar, yeast dissolved in 1/2 cup water, salt and flour.

3Mix all ingredients well.

4Put into a greased bowl in refrigerator overnight.

5Grease hands.

6Make balls the size of walnuts and put 3 in each greased muffin cup.

7Let rise 2 1/2 hours.

8Bake at 400° for 20 to 25 minutes.
