- 3 1/2 to 4 c. Bread Flour
- 1 tsp. Salt
- 1 pkg. Dry Yeast
- 1/4 c. warm Water
- 1/2 c. Sugar
- 1 c. hot Water
- 1/4 c. vegetable Shortening
- 1 Egg beaten
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water.

2Pour hot water over sugar and shortening.

3Cool to lukewarm.

4Add 1/2 c. flour.

5Mix thoroughly. Stir in softened yeast, egg, salt and half of remaining flour. Beat thoroughly.

6Add enough flour to form a soft dough.

7Turn out on lightly flour board.

8Let rest 5 to 10 minutes.

9Knead until smooth and elastic.

10Place in greased bowl, turn to grease top. Cover.

11Let rise until doubled.

12Punch down.
-
13Cover and refrigerate.

14When ready to bake, cut or shape into rolls.

15Let rise in ungreased pan until doubled in size.

16Bake at 425 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.

17Dough may be stored in refrigerator at least 4 days.
