Ingredients
- 2 medium size potatoes, cooked and mashed
- 1 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/2 c. lukewarm water
- 5 to 6 c. flour
Directions

1Pour boiling water over sugar, salt, shortening and mashed potatoes.

2Stir until shortening is dissolved and mixture cools. Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water; add to the mixture.

3Mix well then stir in flour to make a soft dough.

4Rub bowl with shortening, cover tightly.

5Store in refrigerator until ready to use.

6Yields 3 dozen.
