- 6 c. plain flour
- 1 cake yeast or 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2/3 c. lard
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in 1 cup lukewarm water.

2Dissolve sugar and lard in 1 cup boiling water.

3Cool to lukewarm; add yeast mixture, egg and then flour (a little at a time).

4Let rise overnight in refrigerator.

5Make into cloverleaf rolls or roll out and cut. Bake at 450° for 12 to 15 minutes.
