Ingredients
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. boiling water
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 c. warm water
- 6 c. sifted flour (plain flour)
- 2 eggs, beaten
Directions

1Pour boiling water over shortening, sugar and salt.

2Blend and cool.

3Add beaten eggs.

4Sprinkle yeast in warm water; dissolve and add flour to it.

5Mix well.

6Cover and place in refrigerator for 4 hours.

7About 3 hours before using, roll out and cut with biscuit cutter.

8Pat melted butter on top and fold like a pocketbook.

9Place in greased pan and allow to rise until double. Bake at 425° for 12 to 15 minutes.
