Ingredients
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1 c. lukewarm water
- 3 tsp. salt
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. instant mashed potatoes, moistened with water to make 1/2 c. potatoes
- 1 pt. milk
- 2/3 c. shortening
- 10 c. bread flour
Directions

1Pour yeast into water and let stand 5 minutes.

2Scald milk; add sugar and salt.

3Let cool.

4When lukewarm, add to yeast; add 1/2 flour and potatoes.

5Beat until smooth.

6Add shortening and rest of flour to make soft dough.

7May need to knead a few minutes.

8Let set in warm place until double in size.

9Knead dough and refrigerate; cover with wax paper or plastic bag.

10Two hours before needed, shape in rolls.

11Let rise.

12Bake at 375° for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.

13Take out of oven and brush with butter.
