Ingredients

  • 4 c. ground onions
  • 4 c. ground cabbage
  • 4 c. ground green tomatoes
  • 12 ground green bell peppers
  • 6 ground red bell peppers
  • 4 cloves ground garlic
  • 1/2 c. salt
  • 6 c. sugar
  • 4 c. vinegar
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 Tbsp. turmeric
  • 2 Tbsp. mustard seed
  • 1 Tbsp. celery seed

    Grind vegetables with coarse blade.

    Cover with salt and let stand overnight.

    Drain, rinse and drain again.

    Combine remaining ingredients.

    Bring to a boil and simmer 3 minutes.

    Fill hot, sterilized jars and seal.
