- 2 large onions, chopped
- 1 pint sour cream
- 2 - 14 1/4 oz. cans sauerkraut with caraway seed, well drained
- 3 cans corned beef
- 2 lb. shredded swiss cheese
- 12 slices whole wheat bread
- 1 stick butter or margarine
Directions

1Combine onion, sour cream and sauerkraut.

2Spread on bottom of 11 x 13 inch casserole.

3Top with thinly sliced corned beef. Layer shredded swiss cheese on top of corned beef.

4Chop bread into cubes and coat with melted butter.

5Place bread on top of cheese.

6Cover with foil and bake at 350° about 1 hour.

7Uncover and bake another 10 to 15 minutes to brown top.
