- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 c. water
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. oatmeal
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Directions

1Mix ingredients together until crumbly.

2Put 3/4 of mixture in a 9 x 13-inch pan.

3Pour rhubarb mixture over this, then add remaining crumbs.

4Bake at 375° for 30 to 35 minutes.
