Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 6 c. cut up rhubarb
  • 1 small pkg. strawberry gelatin
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 6 Tbsp. butter

Directions

    Mix first 7 ingredients together. Put into a greased 9 x 12-inch cake pan. Pour rhubarb over cake dough. Sprinkle gelatin on top of rhubarb. Mix together 1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup flour and 6 tablespoons butter until crumb-like.

    Sprinkle over rhubarb. Bake at 350° for 50 minutes.
