- 2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. milk
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. rhubarb, cut fine
- 1/2 c. broken nuts
Directions

1Mix as for any cake, adding rhubarb and nuts last.

2Top before baking with additional 1/3 cup brown sugar mixed with 1 teaspoon cinnamon.

3Bake in 9 x 13-inch pan at 350° for 40 minutes.

4Serve slightly warm.

5Top with whipped cream.
