  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 1/2 c. white sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 c. 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 c. raw rhubarb

Directions

    Blend shortening, sugar, salt and egg.

    Add baking soda and milk to mixture.

    Stir in flour and rhubarb (cut in small pieces). Bake 45 minutes at 350° in 9 x 13 pan.
