- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 c. sour milk
- 2 c. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 2/3 c. rhubarb
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Directions

1Cream shortening and brown sugar.

2Add egg, then sour milk, flour, salt, soda and rhubarb.

3Mix well and pour into an 8 x 8-inch or 9 x 9-inch pan.

4Combine sugar and cinnamon and pour over cake batter.

5Bake at 350° for 40 to 50 minutes.
