  • 4 c. chopped rhubarb
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 6 drops red food coloring or enough to make red
  • 1 2/3 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. tapioca
  • 1 1/2 c. Bisquick mix
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • milk (just enough to make thin batter)

Directions

    Beat and pour over the rhubarb mixture.

    Bake and cut dough into rhubarb as it bakes.

    Bake at 325° for about 40 minutes.
