Rice Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 large onion
  • 1 stick oleo
  • 1 c. rice
  • 1 can beef consomme or beef broth
  • water
  • 3/4 c. slivered almonds
  • 1 jar chopped mushrooms (do not drain)

Directions

    Brown onion in oleo; add rice and broth or consomme.

    Add enough water to make 2 cups liquid, almonds and mushrooms.

    Bake in covered casserole dish for 45 minutes at 350°.

    (Make sure liquid covers rice and check for doneness as ovens vary.)
