  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 c. celery
  • 1 stick butter/oleo
  • 2 cans beef consomme soup
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
  • 1 tsp. sage
  • 1 can water chestnuts
  • 1 c. uncooked rice
  • 1 tsp. parsley

Directions

    Melt butter and saute vegetables for 10 minutes; add all other ingredients and pour over uncooked rice in an 8 x 12-inch pan. Cook for 1 hour at 350°.
