- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1/2 c. celery
- 1 stick butter/oleo
- 2 cans beef consomme soup
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
- 1 tsp. sage
- 1 can water chestnuts
- 1 c. uncooked rice
- 1 tsp. parsley
Directions

1Melt butter and saute vegetables for 10 minutes; add all other ingredients and pour over uncooked rice in an 8 x 12-inch pan. Cook for 1 hour at 350°.
