  • 1/2 lb. butter (real butter)
  • 1 large chopped onion
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1 can mushrooms and juice
  • 3 cans beef consomme
  • 2 c. water
  • 2 c. rice (uncooked; do not use Minute rice)

Directions

    Melt butter; add onion, oregano, mushrooms, liquids, then rice.

    Simmer 20 minutes.

    Bake in covered dish 1 hour at 350°.
