- 2 Tbsp. butter or stick margarine
- 1 c. uncooked regular long rice
- 2 c. chicken broth
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 small onion, chopped (1/4 c.)
Directions

1Melt butter in 3-quart saucepan over medium heat.

2Cook onion in butter about 3 minutes, stirring occasionally until tender. Stir in rice.

3Cook 5 minutes, stirring frequently.

4Stir in broth and salt.

5Heat to boiling, stirring once or twice; reduce heat to low.

6Cover and simmer 16 minutes (do not lift cover and stir); remove from heat.

7Let stand covered 5 minutes.

8Makes 4 servings.
