- 1 c. uncooked rice
- 1/2 c. vermicelli
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1/2 tsp. garlic
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. basil
- 1 can chicken broth or beef broth or ham base
- sliced mushrooms (optional)
Directions

1Saute rice and vermicelli until golden brown.

2Add chicken broth and bring to full boil.

3Reduce to simmer and add other ingredients and spices.

4Stir well and cover on low for 20 to 25 minutes.
