- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. thin egg noodles
- 1 c. raw white rice or brown rice
- 2 c. boiling water or low fat chicken broth
- white pepper and salt to taste
- vegetable cooking spray
Directions

1Serves 4 people.

2Coat a medium saucepan with cooking spray. Melt butter over medium heat.

3Add noodles constantly stirring over low heat until noodles become golden brown.

4Add rice.

5Coat with butter.

6Meanwhile bring water or broth to a full boil.

7Add at once to rice.

8Salt and pepper to taste.

9Put on a tight fitting lid and simmer until water is absorbed.

10If brown rice is used, add more water and cook longer.
