- 1/4 c. oleo
- 3/4 c. chopped onion
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 1 c. raw rice
- 1 pkg. chicken noodle soup mix
- 2 1/2 c. water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. sage
- 1/4 tsp. thyme
Directions

1Melt oleo in heavy saucepan.

2Add rice, onion and celery.

3Cook until rice is golden brown (20 to 25 minutes), stirring often.

4Add remaining ingredients.

5Stir well.

6Simmer until liquid is absorbed, 15 to 20 minutes.

7Serve with chicken.
