Ingredients
- 6 strands spaghetti or orzo
- 1 c. rice
- 2 c. chicken, beef or vegetable broth
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- salt
- fresh parsley
- 2 to 3 cloves garlic
Directions

1In a pan, melt butter.

2Add garlic.

3When it turns yellow, add orzo (2 to 3 tablespoons) or spaghetti broken into rice-sized pieces.

4Stir over medium heat until rice is coated with butter and smells like popcorn.

5When it is turning brown (don't let it burn), add the broth which has been heated with the salt if necessary. Quickly stir once.

6Put lid on firmly and reduce heat to lowest possible and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, until all liquid is absorbed and rice is tender.

7Remove from heat.

8Fluff with fork and add chopped parsley.
