- 1/2 c. rice
- 5 eggs, beaten
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 4 c. milk (whole)
- 1/4 tsp. cardamon
- salt
- melted butter
- cinnamon
Directions

1Cook rice according to package directions.

2Scald milk.

3Let cool to lukewarm.

4Beat eggs, sugar, vanilla and cardamon.

5Add milk and cooked rice.

6Put in a 1 1/2-quart buttered casserole dish.

7Place in shallow pan of water and bake at 350°.

8After 20 to 25 minutes of baking, insert a fork and stir from sides without disturbing the top.

9Dot with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon.

10Continue baking 35 minutes, more or less, until custard is set.

11Makes 6 servings.
