- 1/2 c. rice
- 1 c. water (salted)
- 1 qt. milk
- 1/2 stick butter
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. raisins
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 3 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla for top
Directions

1Pour rice slowly into boiling salt water in large pan.

2Do not stir.

3Cover and cook exactly 5 minutes.

4Water will be absorbed. Add milk and butter, stir a little, bring to boil, cover and cook over over low until rice is soft, 20 to 30 minutes.

5Beat eggs and sugar, add vanilla and raisins.

6Pour egg mixture into rice slowly until it thickens.

7Pour into dish and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
