- 6 cups milk
- 1 cup white rice
- 12 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 14 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Directions

1In a 3 quart saucepan,over medium heat,heat milk,rice,sugar,butter and salt.

2Cook until tiny bubbles form around the edge,stirring frequently.

3Reduce heat to low,cover and simmer 1 hour or until rice is very tender,stirring occasionally.

4Stir in vanilla.

5Cover and refrigerate until well chilled,about 3 hours.

6Garnish with nutmeg.
