- 1 c. dark corn syrup
- 3 eggs
- 2 Tbsp. butter, melted
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. coarsely chopped pecans
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pastry shell
- whipped cream (optional)
Directions

1Combine sugar and corn syrup in a small saucepan; bring to a boil.

2Beat eggs at medium speed of an electric mixer until blended.

3Gradually add hot sugar mixture to eggs, beating constantly.

4Stir in butter, vanilla and pecans.

5Pour mixture into pastry shell.

6Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.
