  • 1 28 oz canned tomatoes, diced
  • 3 tbl demi glace (I use 1.5 oz pkg of Demi Glace Gold or homemade)
  • 1/2 c red wine
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • Olive oil for sauteeing
  • fresh basil chiffonade, or whole leaves
  • salt to taste
  • 1/4 tsp oregano
