Ingredients

  • 6 None eggs
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 14 oz semi-sweet chocolate, melted and cooled slightly
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup Cointreau

Directions

  1. 1
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a deep 9-inch-round cake pan and line the bottom and side with parchment paper.
  2. 2
Beat the eggs and sugar in large bowl with an electric mixer for about 5 mins or until thick and creamy. Gradually beat in barely warm chocolate until combined.
  3. 3
Gently fold in the combined cream and liqueur. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan.
  4. 4
Place the pan in a deep-sided roasting pan. Pour in enough boiling water into the roasting pan to come halfway up the side of the cake pan.
  5. 5
Bake for 30 mins. Cover loosely with foil, then bake for about a further 30 mins. Discard the foil and cool the cake in the pan on a wire rack.
  6. 6
Invert the cake onto a serving plate. Cover and refrigerate overnight before serving.
