- 2 yeast cakes or 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/3 c. butter
- 3/4 c. hot scalded milk
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. grated orange rind
- 2 unbeaten eggs
- 4 to 4 1/2 c. flour
Directions

1Soften 2 yeast cakes in 1/4 cup lukewarm water or 2 packages dry yeast in 1/4 cup very warm water.

2Combine butter and hot scalded milk.

3Stir until butter melts.

4Cool to lukewarm.

5Add sugar, salt, orange rind, eggs and yeast mixture.

6Gradually add flour to form stiff dough.

7Mix thoroughly.

8Cover and let stand 30 minutes.
