  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 12 cup shortening
  • 2 eggs, plus enough milk to make 1 1/2 cups

    Cut in shortening until the mixture resembles coarse corn meal.

    Stirring with a fork, add the milk mixture to make a soft dough
