- 4 to 6 lb. beef roast
- salt and pepper
- 1 onion
- 4 potatoes
- 6 carrots

1Rub roast well with salt and pepper.

2Brown on both sides. Place in a covered roaster and cook at 325° for 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 hours.

3The last hour add the potatoes, onions and carrots.

4More vegetables may be added if cooking for a crowd.

5Green beans are good, too.

6Fix your meat and set the timer on your stove; when you come home from work or shopping, put in vegetables.
