- 4 chicken livers
- 1/2 tsp. thyme
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 lb. butter
Directions

1Sprinkle quails inside and out with salt, pepper and flour. Begin frying in about 2 tablespoons vegetable oil.

2Gradually add 3/4 stick margarine and fry until golden brown. Cover and cook on low heat for about 45 to 50 minutes. Remove lid and increase heat for about 5 minutes so that quail will be crisp.
