1Heat a large, heavy skillet over high heat and add the peanut oil.

2When very hot, add the peanuts and cook, shaking the pan, until they are lightly browned, about 4 minutes.

3(Lower the heat if they begin to scorch.)

4Immediately transfer the peanuts to paper towels to drain.

5Sprinkle with salt and serve warm or at room temperature as a condiment.
