Roasted Tomatoes

Ingredients

  • 4 large sweet tomatoes
  • 4 slices of bread
  • 1 tsp. salt (level)
  • 1/8 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/2 c. Mazola oil
  • pinch of garlic salt
  • pinch of onion powder
  • parsley and basil, chopped finely

Directions

    Wash and dry tomatoes.

    Cut in halves and scoop out seeds. Lay tomatoes in shallow pan, coated with Mazola oil.

    Crumble bread in bowl.
  4. 4
    Add parsley, basil, remaining oil, garlic salt, onion powder, salt and pepper.

    Mix very lightly.

    Place ingredients on each half tomato.

    Bake in 375° oven 25 to 30 minutes.
