- 1/2 c. chopped mushrooms
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 c. half and half
- dash of pepper
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 1/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 2 chicken breasts, boned and halved
- 1 egg
- bread crumbs
Directions

1Saute mushrooms in butter for 5 minutes.

2Blend in flour, then half and half, salt and pepper.

3Cook and stir until thickened. Remove from heat.

4Add Cheddar cheese gradually.

5Turn mixture into a 9-inch pan and chill thoroughly.

6Shape cheese mixture into 4 sticks and secure with toothpicks.

7Dip breasts into flour, then egg, then coat with bread crumbs.

8Bake at 325° for 1 hour.
