- 2 c. warm water
- 3/4 c. Crisco
- 1 egg
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 4 c. self-rising flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in water and add the Crisco, sugar and well beaten egg.

2Now add the flour (don't add anymore).

3This dough will seem thin; put into the refrigerator for a short while and it will thicken.

4When you are ready to use them, take from the refrigerator and put three small balls of dough to make cloverleaf rolls into greased muffin pans.

5Do not let rise!

6Put them into the oven at once. Bake between 350° and 400°.

7Do not use oil for shortening.
