Ingredients

  • 2 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 4 c. flour
  • 1/4 c. lukewarm water
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder

Directions

    Heat milk, sugar and butter to boiling point.

    Cool to lukewarm.

    Dissolve yeast in water.

    Add yeast and 2 cups flour to mixture.

    Mix well and let rise for 2 hours.

    Sift remaining flour with salt, soda and baking powder and add to mixture.

    Make into rolls and let rise before baking.

    Brush rolls with melted butter before rising.

    Bake at 425°.

    Makes 3 dozen rolls.
