  • 1 cake yeast
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 c. oil or melted shortening
  • 1 c. milk
  • 4 to 5 c. flour
  • 3/4 tsp. salt

Directions

    Break egg into cup and add sugar; fill the cup with oil. Dissolve the yeast in lukewarm water.

    Combine with the egg, sugar and oil; mix thoroughly.

    Add the flour and milk alternately and make into a soft dough.

    Cover and place in the refrigerator until ready for use.

    Cut out and let rise for 1 hour before baking. Bake at 375°.
