  • 4 c. plain or bread flour
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 c. warm water
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • lard (the size of an egg)
  • 1 c. cold water or a little more
  • 1 tsp. salt

Directions

    Mix together. Let rise in refrigerator 4 hours or overnight. Roll out and let rise about 2 1/2 hours. Don't work too much flour into them. Kind of sticky when putting on board. Bake at 400° until brown.
