  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. shortening
  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1 egg
  • 2 1/2 c. sifted flour
  • 1/4 c. warm water

    Cover with cloth and let rise in warm place until double in bulk.
