- 1 tablespoon dry active yeast
- 1/4 cup water (warm)
- 3 cups flour
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary
- olive oil
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in the warm water.

2Stir in 1 1/2 cups of the flour and the remaining ingredients until smooth.

3Stir in the remaining 1 1/2 cups of flour until dough forms.

4Knead dough until smooth.

5Cover and let rise for 10 minutes.

6Grease a cookie sheet.

7Shape dough into a round loaf.

8Place on cookie sheet.

9Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.

10Heat oven to 350°F.

11Cut an X shape 1/2 inch deep into the top of the bread.

12Brush olive oil onto bread.

13Bake 35 minutes or until golden brown.
