Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. pinto beans
- 1 lb. green peppers, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1/2 c. parsley, chopped
- 2 1/2 lb. lean ground chuck
- 1 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/3 c. chili powder
- 5 c. canned tomatoes
- 1 1/2 lb. onion, chopped
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. salad oil
- 1/2 c. butter, melted
- 1 lb. lean ground pork
- 1 1/2 tsp. cumin seed
- 2 Tbsp. salt (1 Tbsp. is better)
Directions

1Soak beans overnight in water 2-inches above the beans. Simmer beans in same water until tender, 1 hour.

2Add tomatoes and simmer 5 minutes.

3Saute pepper, onion and garlic in oil until tender, but not browned.

4Remove vegetables and set aside.

5Add parsley.
