  • 1 (2 layer size, regular) pkg. yellow cake mix (no pudding)
  • 1 (3 3/4 oz. or 3 5/8 oz.) pkg. instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 4 eggs
  • 3/4 c. cold water
  • 1/4 c. cooking oil
  • 1/4 c. dark rum
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/4 c. dark rum
