  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. plain flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 (20 oz.) crushed pineapple, undrained
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 egg
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Mix the sugar, egg and pineapple.

    Let set until sugar dissolves (about 2 hours). Stir occasionally. Sift soda and salt with flour. Add nuts and mix with other ingredients.

    Stir by hand 100 times. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.
