- 1 cup butter
- 16 ounces brown sugar
- 18 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions

1In a heavy saucepan, melt butter over low heat, add sugar and salt, stirring well.

2Stir in corn syrup.

3Slowly add condensed milk, stirring constantly.

4Cook and stir over medium heat 12 to 15 minutes or until mixture reaches the firm ball stage, 244 to 249 degrees on a candy thermometer.

5Remove from heat, stir in vanilla.

6Pour into a greased 9x9 inch pan.

7Cool and cut into squares.

8Wrap in cut out squares of wax paper, twisting the ends.
