- 1 pound ground beef ground
- 2 medium onions
- 1 x mint leaves fresh
- 1 x watercress
- 1 x salt
- 1 x turmeric
- 1 each eggs
- 1 x butter
- 1 x tomato paste
- 1 x split peas
- 1 x rice
Directions

1Cook same of rice and split peas in pan, with not too much water for 5 to 10 min.

2Chop onion with mint and watercress.

3Add about 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon turmeric on rice, then add onions and mix with meat.

4Add 1 egg.

5Mix well.

6Coarsely chop 1 med onion and put in pan with a little oil and about 3 tablespoon butter, saute, then add about 1/2 teaspoon turmeric, 3 tablespoon tomato paste, salt and water (about 1/2 saucepan).

7Bring to a boil.

8Make palm-sized meatballs and place in boiling mixture.

9Cook about 1/2 hr.

10Serve in bowls with broth.

11Yogurt and pickles on the side.
