- 1/4 cup corn oil
- 3/4 cup popping corn
- Salt
- 1/4 tsp. finely chopped saffron threads
- 3 tbsp. melted butter
Directions

1In a large heavy pot heat corn oil over high heat until the oil smokes.

2Add 1 kernel popping corn and heat until kernel pops.

3Add rest of popping corn; cover pot and shake gently until corn starts to pop.

4Shake vigorously until popping subsides.

5Remove from heat.

6Heat melted butter with saffron threads for 1 minute.

7Toss popcorn with salt and butter/saffron.
