  • 2 lb. extra lean hamburger
  • 2 Tbsp. Morton's curing salt
  • 1 tsp. mustard seed
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. coarsely ground peppercorns
  • 1 1/2 tsp. liquid smoke
  • 1 c. water

Directions

    Mix all ingredients well. Divide in 1/2; make 2 long rolls. Wrap in foil and refrigerate 24 hours.

    Unwrap and place on broiler pan.

    Bake 1 1/2 hours at 300°.

    Turn over in 45 minutes. Cool.

    Wrap in foil and refrigerate.
