Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/3 c. dry bread crumbs
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 egg
- 1 large onion, sliced and separated into rings
- 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed beef broth
- 1 (4 oz.) can mushroom stems and pieces, drained
- 2 Tbsp. cold water
- 2 tsp. cornstarch
Directions

1Mix ground beef, bread crumbs, salt, pepper and egg.

2Shape into 4 oval patties, each about 3/4-inch thick.

3Cook patties in 10-inch skillet over medium heat, turning occasionally, until brown, about 10 minutes.

4Drain.

5Add onion, broth and mushrooms. Heat to boiling.

6Reduce heat; cover and simmer until beef is done, about 10 minutes.
